Freddie Glenn Why is this killer alive today? Why was he not hanged withing two weeks of being convicted of the crime? Actually I believe that he should be killed the same way he killed his victim.

Why is this killer alive today?

In 1972 the US Supreme Court in Furman vs. Georgia abolished the death penalty.

All existing death penalty sentences were commuted to life and from 1972 until the US Supreme Court reversed itself in Gregg vs. Georgia in 1976, there were no death penalties handed down.

Freddie Glenn murdered Miss Grammer in 1975, and so his crime could not have received the death penalty.
