Durham police have arrested a 93-year-old man on cocaine-trafficking and related charges.
William C. Tinnen was arrested Thursday during a raid at 204 Teel St., police said in a news release issued today. Police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said she assumed police had a tip that drug activity was taking place there.
In addition to trafficking, Tinnen is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell or deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling for the sale of drugs. Officers also confiscated three firearms from the house.
Tinnen's bond was set at $200,000.
The guy probably went on the stuff himself when he looked around to see what was happening to this world and said, “I can’t take it anymore!”. Then he either decided to help some others out of their misery, or needed to peddle it to support his own habit.
If he gets 3 years, is it a life sentence?
Before and After?
He looks pretty dangerous to me ...
(Raspy old man halting voice) - “You wanna play rough? Say hello to my little friend!”
From the looks of him, he will be lucky to last a year. Or, it could be a really bad photo.

His parents are very disappointed in him.
“Cocaine’s a hell of a drug.”
My reason for asking is because I am in my late 80s and would be happy to go from real old to young—even with the bald head.
Come to think of it, the younger man looks uglier than the older man.
Sounds like Durham. Its an armpit. Fights for Fayetteville for the title of worst major town in NC.

They cut his welfare off.
You’re never too old to start a new career!
Congrats. My mother is in her late 80s and doing just fine. I aspire to be there myself some day, I'm a kid of 62 now.
I guess it was more profitable than Moonshine.
Interestingly (don’t know why), the man was alive when cocaine was legal.
Don't mess with Uncle Junior.
He probably needs the medical.
At least he survived the raid.
