Aw jeez...did the nurse give you too many meds and then let you out of the quiet room AGAIN??! You’re not supposed to be on the computer without supervision.

LOLOL...yeah, give me more Saundra. That’s telling me. Go on. I dare you. Really tell me how much Fred sucks and how much everyone who doesn’t support Willard McRomney sucks for not being a hair fetishist like yourself.

Regarding campaign “shake ups” - it’s not a good thing, FReeper pal. It’s never a good thing. If a campaign were running smoothly, there’d be no need for a “shake-up”.

There have been several articles on FR about it but I don’t have time to do research for you.

No one is going to deny that Fred’s campaign has had “shake-ups” - no one.

Please note: John McCain’s campaign had a “shake-up” and it was a sign of his campaign troubles.

Here’s what you’ve got to remember.

Fred Thompson is one of us. A conservative who is pro-defense, pro-limited govt, pro-federalism, pro-tax reform, pro-gun, pro-life and anti-amnesty.

Neither Rudy Giuliani or Mitt Romney are conservatives. Rooty is a lifelong liberal and an opportunist of the first order. Romney is a political centrist who believes in the power of political expediency. Both men have no business being the GOP nominee.

You’re wasting your time. She’s bought Romney’s ‘conservative’ schtict hook, line, and sinker. It’s rather amusing really.

I saw part of FT, and I was not impressed, but I have never been impressed by him. Not during Watergate, not in the Senate, not even on Law and Order. Tonight he was slow and halting. Lightening interrupted it.

Then they ran a town hall meeting with Rudy and Steve Forbes presenting tax policy proposals. Guilani was superb. You would think that he was the professional actor. He was smart, funny, clear and dynamic.

Tax policy is supposed to be boring, but this was not. Thompson was trying to be inspiring unity, but it was a snore. Romeney was at Midwest but he is real stiff compared to Rudy. Huckabee did another sermon with no substance.

It’s like talking to your hat, isn’t it?

BTW, can one have a campaign without announcing?
I would think the campaign comes AFTER the announcement.

Until then, it’s getting one’s ducks in a row...seeing what works...
and seeing who fits, and who doesn’t.

When that is squared away, then comes the announcement, and the campaign.

Now, I’m leaving the thread.

Fred Thompson is one of us.

Yes, he is. He is from us, among us and one of us.

Saundra Duffy is none of these things.

It looks to me as if she is a vacuuous and intellectually blighted blatherer who thinks that she can best support her favorite by attacking one of us.

Saundra, that tactic just isn't going to work. You will have better luck with this crap over on DU or the Daily Kos.

You’re so wrong about everything I don’t know where to start.

Again, campaign shake ups happen all the time. Reagan had a few of his own in `76 and `80.

There are no articles that I have seen, in which Fred Thompson stated, his wife was running his campaign. None! Even if she was, as I explained, she was known as a tough Republican operative. Any effort by Jeri Thompson would be a positive one.

John McCain didn't’t have a campaign shake up. People abandoned his campaign. Huge difference.

Again, you’re looking for anything that sheds a bad light on Fred Thompson. You’re pathetic.

Blow the democrats MINDS...

That's what's gonna happen when one, they choose Hillary, and two, we get behind someone with common sense like Fred.

If the Founding Fathers had intended us to live with NannyState socialism, they'd have added it to the Constitution and stated as much very eloquently.

They didn't, the Left is screwed again. America ain't dead yet.

“Neither Rudy Giuliani or Mitt Romney are conservatives”

I don’t think it is “conservatism” that is driving this small group of FR Romney supporters to claw for their candidate with almost religious fever.

Delusional thinking is when people supporting Fred T think it’s no big deal that he skipped the debates and isn’t willing to make the sacrifices like the other GOP candidates.
He wasn't a candidate, so he couldn't participate in the debates. No one watched them anyways, and there is plenty of time ahead for people to get to know the candidates and make a definitive choice.
The first debate of the primary season traditionally isn't held until October.
The fact that Fred Thompson will be participating in September debates means he will be debating earlier than President Bush did in 1999.

I don’t know about that, you can check out the newest version of The body Snatchers at imdb, it stars Nicole Kidman.

We? You’ve been on record for months supporting the other guys. What brings you to our side now?

And Ann Coulter doesn’t like Fred. I think all those meds got you confused. You should be posting on a Duncan Hunter thread.

Yeah, I saw it in your tagline...that’s why I asked. I’ll check it when it comes out on dvd, but I’m kinda partial to the 56 and 78 ones. There was another in the 90’s that was pretty lame and a strikingly similar story in ‘The Puppet Masters’ which was adapted from a Robert Heinlein ripoff of Finney’s novel.

Something tells me that the story’s been approached from a lot of angles...but I’ll still check it out. :)

I like the idea of Newt and Rove coalescing around Fred.

Add Cheney, Bolton and Petraeus, and this is a pretty good new reason to support Fred. I could be convinced. Put Hunter in as VP, then we have a team that really might be able to take down Her Thighness.
