Not alot of people talking on this one. I think the intended news is the advice to use the internet’s video advantage to announce, but personally I think the real news is that Newt is backing Fred Thompson. In the past, and don’t qoute me on accuracy, Newt has said that he will only run if someone else up to his standards doesn’t. Well…what does this say?

Don’t know whether Newt will back Fred in the end.

I do know that FredT gave a real good speech to the Midwest Republican Leadership Confernece today. Just watched it on CSPAN. Any notion that Fred is not running, should be just about laid to rest once and for all.

I read somewhere that Karl Rove is on his way to the Fred T camp, too. Wow! Newt, Karl and Fred all in the same camp. Fred’s wife would never permit it.

Catty? Nope. Fred’s wife’s incompetent antics in trying to run his campaign are legend and on the record.

I would LOVE to see Newt, Karl and Fred taking orders from Fred’s wife. I would LOVE to see that. Priceless.

There have been three “shake-ups” in Fred’s campaign that we know of. Fred’s wife is now in charge, lock, stock and barrel. Fred himself said so.

Do you think she would like to have Newt & Karl hanging around the campaign headquarters trying to tell her how to run his campaign? I don’t think so.

I can’t say for now but I think anyone that believes that Fred Thompson is going to fizzle out has not seen anything yet. I think it will come down to who is on top. If Fred plays his cards right he will launch with a wave that will topple his opponents going into next year. His only real opponents are Giuliani and Romney. I think Huckabee is shaping up to be a good choice for a VP. I like Hunter and Brownback but I don’t see how they can raise the profile of their campaigns enough.
That said I think Thompson if he doesn’t ride high enough will be a great candidate for VP.

Things still are a long way from being written in stone in the current campaign even though it appears on the Democrat side it is an Obama Hillary race. If Hillary isn’t the nominee with Obama as the running mate then I’ll be very surprised. It depends on how hard he runs and how much he really cares about winning. Obama could obliterate Hillary if he were to take a scorched earth approach. That would take him stepping forward to be a real leader. Will that happen, I doubt it.

Fred and Newt is a good start.. add next Duncan Hunter..
All the other pubbie candidates can go home or receive matching funds from the gov't and GIVE IT to Fred.. BEFORE THE PRIMARYS..

Blow the democrats MINDS...

Eliminate the primarys.. pull the rug out from under the leftys.. This would galvanize the republican party, many independants, and maybe a butt load of democrats.. O.K. maybe a few.. BUT a few is all you need.. After awhile even Giuliani might get on board the Fred-train..

Delusional thinking is when people supporting Fred T think it’s no big deal that he skipped the debates and isn’t willing to make the sacrifices like the other GOP candidates.

Delusional thinking is when people supporting Fred turn a blind eye to the fact that he voted for McCain-Feingold.

Delusional thinking is when people supporting Fred don’t care that he’s the darling of the wanna-be rulers of the world, the Council on Foreign Relations.

Delusional thinking is when people supporting Fred have selective memory about the impeachment of Bill Clinton - Fred voted that Clinton did not lie under oath which everyone knows he did. Talk about delusional thinking!

Want more?

Campaign shake ups happen. Its a fact of political life. No big deal.

>>>>>Fred’s wife is now in charge, lock, stock and barrel. Fred himself said so.

I haven't read one thing on FR or seen one thing in the media that would support your contention that Newt and/or Karl Rove are going to work for Fred`s campaign. Nothing. Fred`s wife Jeri ahppens to be a former Republican campaign operative. From what I hear, a real good political infighter. Of course she'll be involved in some capacity within her husbands campign effort. Nancy Reagan was a force to be reckon with. So was just about every spouse of any presidential candidate.

You're always trying to make nothing into something. LOL
