I did enjoy reading his memoirs. He, along with many others, including the Lord at times, had some reservations about some of Josephs activities. He never came close to calling Joseph a thief. That is strictly your take on the events and in my opinion it is a stretch for you to use Ebenezer's remarks to support that position. If he did think Joseph was a crook why do you think he continued to support him for so many years after the fact?
But like the rest of the Mormons here, you will not accept any data (even the same exact data! ! !) unless it comes whitewashed from the mothership.
You don't know me very well if you believe this. You also show your low opinion of LDS scholarship. Why do you feel this way?
So the guy who singlehandedly printed the third edition of the BOM, who printed the anti and ing in antiBanking, spent jail time after Far West with Joseph Smith (only about 20 did), was a MINOR player?
I didn't say he was a minor player, just not quite as big a fish as Sidney Rigdon who held key leadership positions in the church. Ebenezer was never called to serve in the churches governing bodies.
