I have news for some of the Freepers out there: We do not live in a theocracy. Mitt Romney (who I am not a big fan of, BTW) can still be a Christian while supporting the fundamental principles of the US Constitution. For those of you not familiar with one of the reasons conservatives are against Roe v. Wade, it is because it is bad constitutiona law. It usurped the rights of the states to define their own limits on abortion.
We have seen that the vast majority of states would limit abortions or eliminate them altogether. This would then give us time to pass a constitutional amendment banning the procedure. His strategy is the perfect short and long-term solution to this matter.
BTW, proudofthesouth, as a new Christian, I would think that you would be a little less quick to judge who is Christian and who isn’t. “Pride” & “Hubris” are a very un-Christian character traits.
