(CNN) -- A high-speed car accident in Florida has left the teenage son of wrestling star Hulk Hogan seriously injured and a companion in critical condition late Sunday, police said.
TV footage shows a person injured in Nick Hogan's car crash being treated in an ambulance.
Nick Bollea, 17, was the driver of a Toyota Supra that went out of control while driving at a "high rate of speed" about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, said Wayne Shelor, a spokesman for the Clearwater police in Clearwater, Florida.

Prayers for recovery.
Wow is right.
Anyone who lives through that has an angel on their shoulder.
Best wishes to the Hogans.
i drive this road. Lotsa crazy drivers and racers on it. My son will br driving soon. Prayers for the family and kids.
I hope that Hulk Hogan’s son heals, and his companion in the accident. As a Parent, I am not sure why anyone would give a 17 year old a fast sports car. I know it is a free country, but to me it is like adding gasoline to a fire.
hope he recovers. on the show he is always talking about cars. seems to know a lot about them, too. hope alcohol wasn't involved.
One report this morning says that Nick was released but that the passenger, John Graziano, is in critical condition.
Teenage boys do not come equipped with a sense of their own mortality. They have to acquire it. You pray they acquire it without loss of life or limb.
I remember when my son FINALLY go it! I prayed a prayer of thanksgiving. Every time my kids left the house I prayed and couldn’t relax until they got home. I more or less forced them to attend the funerals of 7 classmates who were killed in a single accident.
This smashed-in car looks even worse than the Princess Di car, if I remember correctly. It's a wonder the two kids survived at all.

It is not all about maleness, and fast cars, it is about a 17 year old having a car, he did not work for, and his total irresponsiblity in damaging the car and endangering his life and his friends. It is a miracle they both passengers survived that crash, and I am sure it is a lesson they will never forget, the lesson could of been much more costly.
