"Most of the actors on that site were liberals."
Yes, but in an era when being a liberal wasn't the same as what it means today. Nonetheless, it was interesting to see that some of those actors had very close calls during WWII. Art Carney was wounded at Normandy, Russell Johnson (Gilligan's "Professor") was shot down in a B24, Jack Palance survived a B17 crash, Don Adams (Maxwell Smart)contracted malaria at Guadalcanal, Charles Bronson was a nose gunner, Jimmy Stewart flew 20 bombing missions over Germany, and Lee Marvin earned a Purple Heart as a Marine. I also read somewhere that Yogi Berra was one of those who went ashore at Normandy.

Scotty from Star Trek was shot up pretty bad on normandy. Missing a few fingers IIRC.
Eddie Albert was a true hero. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I believe he was in the Navy and saw marines getting shot up pretty bad on the beaches of Tarawa (?). Made dozens of trips under heavy fire in a small boat (may have been a rubber dinghy with an outboard) to pull wounded Marines out of the water.

(I'm pulling for Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter-...but I'd vote for Rudy against Hillary)
