When they closed our open dumps many complained about losing the bear attraction. Our legislator proposed renaming some “bear feeding stations” but that didn’t fly.
In the area of the fire is a gentleman named Oswald who owns property that holds 28 black bears that he has befriended.
Hopefully the fire missed his placed leaving the “what to do” issue mute.

I saw an article about Oswalds ranch. It survived well and was not affected.
I was camping in the UP about ten miles from the fire when it started. Smelled some smoke but that was it. From the article, Oswald’s Bear Ranch sounds pretty cool. I wish I would have gone to see it.
