See you one GenX ping, raise one Generation Jones ping.
Generation Jones is 1954 - 1965.

No, these threads are always fun. And it’s good to see that women bitching about men is a worldwide phenomenon.

Amazingly 60% want to bitch about their ex, 25% want complete domination of someone else's life, and the lat 15% are just horny. I have encountered many of the first two types - now I need to meet some of the fifteen-percenters!

As a woman who's been happily married for almost 25 years, I have some advice for these babes:
1. Don't tart yourself up with all that make-up, expensive 'do-s and those dragon-like fingernails.
(That stuff scares away the very kind of guy you claim you're looking for -- the nice guy who's looking for a decent wife and mother to his children.)
2. Don't sneer at the idea of "playing second fiddle" to a husband, as the article puts it.
(Forget the demands of feminist harridans. None of them are happy. If a wife understands that there are times when it's best that she defer to her husband, then both she and her husband and children will be much, much happier in life.)
3. Don't watch Ally McBeal and Sex in the City.
(And if you do, never forget that those shows are puerile fantasy --and were dreamed up and written by gay men.)

Never heard of
The Maltese Falcon? The stuff dreams are made of...
I was in Malta once, while driving across Montana. I thought it was going to be about that Malta until I started reading the story.

I agree with you 100%.
I used to think radical feminism has ruined many, many young American women. Now I'm wondering which has been more destructive -- radical feminism or the sh!t that passes for "entertainment" on prime-time television and modern print media.

It's not rocket science ladies, want to get our attention? Smile.Probably depends on the man. I see posts from some guys on FR that would indicate they are looking for mail-order brides who look perky and cute but don't have a brain in their heads.

Yup.
If you look like a hooker, expect to be treated like one.
If you look like a nice friendly person, expect to be treated like one.

Men seem to go for the high maintenance woman even while they complain about high maintenance women.True. And women moan about the lack of 'good men' while chasing after the 'bad boy'.

I don’t doubt you but would you want to spend time with them?
There are loser men. They are a minority.
To: qam1
It would appear that I’ve wasted my time trying to be the good man women want. Women don’t want that. They want an older rich guy who treats them like property.

“... American men marrying foreign women ...”
A now-happily married friend of mine once told me, “The happiest year of my life was when I divorced my foreign-born wife and married an American-born woman and traded my American-built car for a foreign-built one.”

I worry about my Stepdaughter who is going to be 35 this year. She runs marathons, is very healthy, attractive, bring, makes a lot of money in her job, but seems to have the worst luck with guys. She hasn’t dated anyone for a couple of years, largely because she has been working long hours (making a lot of money). She lived with a guy until about 2 1/2 years ago for 4 years, and we thought they were going to get married. It turned out that he didn’t want kids. Her clock is and was ticking so she dumped him. It seems that they guys she dates are not bad guys, but they just don’t want to commit. My Stepdaughter is not a feminist, etc. she is a Republican.
I think the best time for young women to find a husband is in college, but once that is gone, it gets harder.
I think one of her problems is that few guys make more money than her, and they many have an ego problem with that.
