Craig was born in Council, Idaho, to Dorothy Lenore McCord and Elvin Oren Craig.[2] He grew up on a ranch outside Midvale, a ranch he likes to brag his grandfather “homesteaded” in 1899. Now, unfortunately, it will be viewed as the Brokeback Mountain of the Potato State. It’s in Washington County.

Aw , I heard he was born in a trunk in the Bijou Theatre in Pocatello.
