Okay, look. The undercover cop was in that particular bathroom for a reason. It is known as a Gay Tryst spot. I assume that there are many bathrooms at the Minneapolis Airport. Would you be convinced if we found out that maybe this bathroom was not the closest one to his gate? OR would you pretend that nothing happened.
The reason he plead guilty is that he panicked. The reason he panicked was that he has done these things and knows that to be exposed, ha ha, would be the end of him. So he stupidly tried to finesses it and being the moron he is , blundered.

IMHO, it shows the police “officer” to be a young gungho entrapper who would not let the Senator speak. He kept talking over the Senator. The Senator flat out denied any such behavior that they were trying to insinuate - but which NEVER TOOK PLACE IN THAT BATHROOM!!!!

Tom Delay at least knows what it’s like to be railroaded falsely - and he said tonight he will NOT judge Sen. Craig or call for him to resign - because we don’t know all the facts yet.

That's your opinion and one possibility. Another possibility is that he wanted it to go away and mistakenly believed the fastest thing to avoid press scrutiny was to pay the fine and get the heck out of there. The alternative was a lengthy and messy out of state court case. He made a poor choice but that choice doesn't prove he was guilty.
