“Oversee” or “administer” the Temple Mount, including the Wailing Wall and the Mosque, the name of which I cannot pronounce?
That skirts the issue. Somebody has to have guns there to protect those who are there to worship from those who are their to blow things up. It takes more than metal detectors, C4 sniffing dogs, and all that. Somebody has to have weaponry — the Swiss Guard? They do have colorful uniforms (yellow and red, I believe) and what looks like small discs on a thin 6 ft stick.
“Administration” in such an area as this is for soldiers, not guards. I am willing to put some money that this does not come to fruition in the next 6 months. Any takers?
They have real, modern weaponry ... they're a top-notch executive protection force. There aren't anywhere near enough of them, though, to hold territory in the middle of muzzie-land.
