Of course this doesn't explain all the God believing Jewish and Christian democrats. They all seem to think the democrats are the party of JFK...they so firmly believe that republicans are against the common man and in bed with big business, especially big oil. How do you overcome ignorance? You certainly can't argue with it.

The liberal ones may not, but I do and so does virtually everyone I know among family and friends. It is the liberal ones that don't worry - and I tend to ignore then on a regular basis regarding almost any topic.

Because it's the right thing to do. And, because it's in our own national interest. I'm not Jewish, and whether American Jews support Israel or not (many do, some don't) doesn't matter very much. I have disagreed with many things the Israelis have done over the years (e.g. the settlements policies in the '70s and '80s), but I can't support the Palestinians or their backers. The 'drive the Jews into the sea' types don't give one much choice who to side with.
The Jewish are becoming blind to the wolves on their borders.... it will be the death of them.
It is only a matter of time if Iran gets a nuke that it will make sure one is detonated in Tel-Aviv.

Ah but the point is, that Israel itself, knows that Iran is evil and if, if the USA govt. had any real guts, we would out loud say, that any attack on Israel would bring complete destruction to Iran. Then make a deal with Israel to have a joint bombing, missle attack on a pre-arranged time when and if Iran starts militant actions towards either the USA or Israel. And stop this silly, inane, ‘even handed policy’ with Pals, Hamas et al. They are all terrorists and evil and enemies. Period.
