KABUL, Afghanistan - U.S.-led and Afghan troops battled suspected Taliban insurgents in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday in ground clashes and airstrikes that left over 100 militants dead, the coalition said.
In eastern Afghanistan, a suicide bomber attacked NATO troops helping to build a bridge, killing three American soldiers, a U.S. official said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because not all families had been notified.
The battle in southern Kandahar provinces Shah Wali Kot district started after the joint force was ambushed by a large group of insurgents who tried to overrun their position several times, before being strafed by airstrikes, the statement from the coalition said.

As in Iraq, the terrorists are being annihilated in Afghanistan.
God bless our brave troops and President Bush.

Go up against an army with superior training and discipline and you'll lose everytime, ragheads.
May God be with the families of those three fallen heroes.

Wonderful! Hopefully killing a lot of terrorists and their leaders there will make attacks here in the U.S. less likely.
But then again it looks like terrorists would be more safe in the U.S. with our open borders and groups like the ACLU and CAIR waiting to protect them.
God bless the men and women of our military and their loved ones!! Keep up the great work!
