I am not talking about the Mig 21Bis, I am talking about the Bisons. A similar version called the Mig 21(Lancer) is currently being sold by Israel and Russia (also check out the Mig 21 LUNA). The Mig 21(Bison) have upgraded ecm, a multifunctional X-band Doppler-pulse radar, BVR weaponry, inertial navigation system , indigeneously built rwr antennae, onboard digital computer, IRST, hud & helmet-mounted target designator making it better then even the Mig 29s or F-16s. Bisons are currently the best fighters in the IAF inventory except for the Mirages and Sukhois. Its was the “surprise package” in Cope India 2004 that surprised the USAF F-15s. (Its wasn’t all Sukhois that took part in Cope India.) It can fire an A-11 or A-10 flying at close to Mach 2 speeds (faster then F-16s), what else do you want?

I know what you are talking about, and the Bisons are still just MiG-21s upgraded to not be quite so antediluvian. They remain guess what, MiG-21s. No, they are not better than MiG-29s or F-16s, all of which have comparable equipment and vastly superior airframes, engines, and performance envelopes.
