Why didn't somebody say something...?

Because it's not true until the pancake flipper says so. :-)

It was the horrific maudlin demonstration at Diana’s funeral that drove home to me the fact that the Endland of a “stiff upper lip” was long gone....

When I saw the backhoe hauling away the tons (literally) of flowers put at the gate, and then this woman died at almost the the same time, I thought God was sending humanity a message.

I thought God was sending humanity a message.

A message which most of humanity failed to grasp.

She's still dead? Who knew.

Seriously, she's one of the most over-rated Brits of all time. I hope she doesn't become their Elvis. One is too many as it is.

I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard that Diana had died. When I think back on it I am filled with the same feeling of...yawn.

Yes, I was just loving it, seeing the fawning by the press over Diana, then having the force themselves to provide fair coverage of Theresa, lest they be accused of something.

” and pop singer Elton John, who sang an adapted version of Candle In The Wind at Diana’s funeral which brought more than one million people onto the streets of London a decade ago. “

Excellent movie! Helen Mirren was awesome.

Unfortunately a lot of folks I know never saw it because of this Diana overload.

They missed a performance that justifiably got the Oscar nod.

Helen is quite the feisty, charming lady. Did you see her interview with oops forgot his name on 60 minutes a while ago? She’s got a sparkle and liveliness which is fun to see and I admire her greatly.

“The Queen” is one of those movies you love to see again and again because of her superior talent. Michael Sheen who protrayed Tony Blair was very good as well.

If you’re interested in British made movies see “Sense and Sensibility” with Emma Thompon and Kate Winslet. Emma wrote the screenplay and acted in it and it is my favorite movie ever.

Bunches.
