Oh - OK, the law sould be tailored to apply only to those you decide that it applies to ... sounds very Democratic to me ...

Rather than "all media?" maybe it is a situation of "all the time?"

The military is forbidden from fighting back against irresponsible media. Not so with private citizens or police.

As an example, the late Richard Jewell succeeded in a tort against one media organization, but was stalled in his efforts against others, justice delayed, justice denied.

Perhaps in some instances prosecutors should not have to prove knowledge, just falsehood to put these fourth estaters into a military prison.

Then all we need is the wherewithall to appoint some PROSECUTORS.

Oh, really?

You see no problem with the media, as it now stands, operating without any regard to actual true fact, honor, integrity or honesty?

You're ok, just fine, dandy even, with so large a part of the industry giving itself over to spreading defeatism and disinformation to further the enemy's victory?

Lemme guess. You're one of those who believe the twisted crap that it's ok to side with the enemy during a time of war. It's ok for agenda driven hacks to tailor the news toward exclusively supporting the agenda to force our own defeat.

It's ok for talking heads to play the "if it bleeds it leads" game, even when they themselves acknowledge that it serves a benefit to our enemy.

It's ok that our media has, knowingly, allowed itself to be played by arab/muslim terrorists (among others) since that became fashionable in the late 60s, early 70s? Feel free to delude yourself into thinking I am the only one angered, or even that those of us angered are an actual minority. Also, feel free to suppose, wrongly, that I, or those like me, are the most enraged and vengeance oriented over this issue. And, by all means, continue in the fantasy pipe dream that just because this is how it has become (the idiocy and enemy supportive agenda reporting), that this is the only way it can be.

The industry is approaching a time where it will either figure out a way to enforce some standards and discipline and police itself, or it will be policed by outside forces. That's how such things work. Betrayal is only tolerated for so long.

The article at the link does a much better job of highlighting the failures of our media. And this is not a new problem. No way, no how. It has become a habitual problem though.

“You see no problem with the media, as it now stands, operating without any regard to actual true fact, honor, integrity or honesty? “

Nope.

“You’re ok, just fine, dandy even, with so large a part of the industry giving itself over to spreading defeatism and disinformation to further the enemy’s victory? “

Nope.

It appears that you phrased the first two sentances as questions about what I think ... then went on to spouting falsehoods in the internet media as if you KNOW what I think.

Think I have a case ?

BUMP!

A tour de force on Gary Solis.

The man has more or less confessed to a clear intent to support the "railroading" of some poor sap to be used as a scapegoat to salve their liberal conscience that war against terrorists is inherently messy...

A reality which doesn't square with the liberal's odd belief in the magical efficacy of "rules of engagement" guaranteeing civilian lives in the midst of the firefight.
