Wow, those are nice. Makes me want one. I think I’d get a 5 series though. A little smaller and probably easier to find with a stick shift.

BTW, what do you think of the 6 series cars from that era? I’ve always thought they looked sooo cool and have always wanted one. Are they reasonably reliable and is it possible to find parts for them?

The old e23 chassis 7 Series (like mine) came with a stick as an option, the Silver car is a 5 speed. The next generation had a few but it disappeared by 1992.

The 6’s are every bit as reliable as any big six car (big six is the 6 cyl. motor) You will spend some time and cash on the front end but ah, the rewards, a solid car that is easy to maintain and a blast to drive. Go to bimmerboard.com and poke around if you want some insight.
