Paul's contingent is now at the Straw Poll event. From the onsite reporters.........
9:08 a.m.: Monkeys for Ron Paul
With two police escorts on bicycles, Ron Paul's supporters finished their march to the Convention Center and are now rallying outside the delegates' entrance. Several buses and RVs passed by covered in Ron Paul signs.
According to one of our correspondents, a live monkey could clearly be seen in the window of one of the Ron Paul RVs.

A little snarky. That's our Granny RV segment. They collect money and run that giant RV plastered with RP signs all over the country. I guess it's harmless enough. We did have some pics of that GrannyRV in the Iowa Straw Poll candidate parade. And the monkey was there too! I can't remember the name of the old gal who drives it but she looks like a blast.

So when Ron Paul actually loses a straw poll, they become important? When he wins they’re of marginal to no importance?
I can believe the idea that supporters are digging into their own pockets to buy signs and buttons etc. RP supporters are the most enthusiastic so far.

Yes I guess it’s based upon what side of the fence one sits. These polls are all over the place in how they are conducted, who can vote, how the candidates can spend money on them, etc. Thus the results reflect the abilities of each candidate and his supporters in that particular type arena.
