It came on the eve of a string of reports and hearings that, starting next week, could determine the course of the remaining 16 months of Mr. Bush’s presidency.

Wishful thinking. Guess the PC media might want to brush up on their civics. The Surrender Now Cacus doesn't have the votes to override the inevitable Bush veto of their cut and run plans. They don't even have the votes to overcome the Republican Senate's Fillibuster. They Leftist might want to take heed of their approval numbers. For 8 months the Democrat Congress has done nothing but fight with Bush over Iraq. During that time Congress's approval number went from 50% to 18%. Bush's went back up to 40%. There is a reason the voters give Congress a 3% approval rating on Iraq. But apparently the PC Media cheerleaders of the Do Nothing Democrats has quite figured that part out yet.

Bush hasn’t seen a 40 approval rating since 11/06.

He just broke out of the 20s last month.
