Larry Craig only committed a misdemeanor. Under other circumstances, I think people would have been willing to forgive and forget. We all make mistakes. But I think his attempt to cover it up and then try to change the plea compromised him. And now he's gone. I can only say no one will miss him in Washington.

I thought the Senator Voinovich tirade on Sean Hannity's show was the height of stupidity until I heard about Larry Craig. Two brainless Senators in one party does not make for a lot of confidence. At least one is now gone. Maybe intelligent conservatives will decide to represent the party because these dumb senators aren't doing any good.

I was impressed by the way that Romney handled the matter. He is a good butcher. Bush should have been that ruthless.

Larry Craig only committed a misdemeanor. I'm still trying to figure out what law he broke. It seems he made a pass at someone (another guy yes, but is that illegal these days?). Did he offer money or something making it solicitation for prostitution?
