Great post here snugs. Of course we are all too familiar with the double standard that invades our political landscape across the giant pond here in the US.

That is one thing that I would say for the UK any form of moral or scandal with either party and you are toast.

The only time it was not so and then the deal was that the politician had to divorce his wife and marry his secretary who he was having the affair with to prove he was not having a casual fling that would bring his judgment into question.

He met his wife at Heathrow airport and told her he was divorcing her.
