Hah! Everyone who buys something today pays hidden taxes equal to the Fair Tax.

UH oh PR - you're off the reservation. Your handlers didn't tell you that business taxes per se plus compliance come to 9% of prices? THey're the ones who insist on it - I drove them to it.

Now you will have to decide RP. Do you believe the 9% or the 23%? I predict you will refuse to answer.

"Do you believe the 9% or the 23%?"

It depends. Under the Fair Tax, are workers going to take home their gross, their net, or something in between?

If they're taking home their gross, then I believe there's 9% to work with. If they take home their current amount (net), then there's 23% to play with and manufacturers can maintain their current prices.

Do you know what's going to happen under the Fair Tax?

"I predict you will refuse to answer."

Not I. It's your side that runs away from questions, yelling over their shoulder, "Read the booooooooook"

Oh, I meant to add a question. I stated that hidden taxes today in a product (defined as corporate tax, compliance costs, employer FICA, employee FICA, and employee withholding) are equal to the Fair Tax (23%). You dodged that and changed the subject to how much is available to reduce prices.

Back up. A $100 item at retail today contains how much, on average, of hidden taxes (as defined above)? Am I off the reservation with my 23%? Are people paying more than that today to the federal government via their purchases?

I predict you will refuse to answer.

Its clear to me he is telling YOU, you can't have it both ways. If one buys the hidden taxes built into prices today, then one must also agree that anyone who buys stuff today is paying taxes.
