Exactly . I would suspect that there are many people who won't commit to someone who isn't in the race . If and when Thompson gets in , the whole dynamic of this Republican race will change dramatically .
There is a giant void not currently being filled , and Thompson appears to be the only one who can fill it, and go on to win the general .
Plus Hillary has met her saturation point, and Fred is not yet known by all the right-leaners. He could only go up, unless there’s a total blunder in the future.
I don’t see a “giant void”. The best the DNC can come up with is a senator that could not get re-elected in his own state, a senator with two years experience and another Clinton. That is the best they can do which is sad but the American people know this.
The deep reserves in the GOP side are pretty impressive from Mitt to Hunter. The American people see this as well.
