Planned Parenthood can't handle the truth. Thread by wagglebee. Wow, what a sign it is!!

DENVER, Sept. 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- Colorado Right to Life has joined an effort to thwart a mega-sized Planned Parenthood Abortion facility being constructed in North East Denver, Colorado. During the annual "Light On Life" Banquet Dinner for Colorado Right To Life on Saturday evening, supposed Planned Parenthood supporters stole a mobile billboard sign from the Truth Truck that CRTL uses.

The sign that was stolen stated that "Planned Parenthood Kills Babies" and had a quote from the founder of Planned Parenthood Margaret Sanger which read "we don't want the word to get out that we want to exterminate the negro population."

HLI pins the tail again...

Thread by wagglebee.

FRONT ROYAL, Va., Sept. 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer, STL, president of Human Life International, (HLI) today blasted a gang of 16 Catholic senators for their votes on an amendment to HR 2764 to overturn the Mexico City Policy instituted by President Reagan to prevent U.S. taxpayer dollars from funding overseas abortions.

"For the most part it's the usual suspects who claim to be Catholic while their consistent pro-abortion votes amount to a betrayal of the Catholic faith. We expect treachery from them," Fr. Euteneuer said. "But the great disappointment here is Robert Casey, Jr., whose late father courageously stood against the tide for life in his political party. It is disgusting to think that Casey Junior ran as a 'pro-life' candidate. He has betrayed those who voted for him on those grounds."

Mikey must not have been a Cub Scout in the olden days. Our motto then, was "Be Square and Obey the Law of the PACk." As Mikey fades into the shadows of the left, wagglebee has a thread on the collapse of his PAC.

According to the FEC papers, TerriPAC had $35353.75 on hand in July and showed no cash on hand as of Friday when it closed up shop.

However, the papers show $36477.76 during the last few months, none of which went to any candidates for office. Previous paperwork shows the expenses related to fund-raising and consulting and paying for other expenses such as the group's web site.

In an indication that activity at TerriPAC began to fade in the days leading up to Michael's announcement he was disbanding it, the PAC has only taken in a little over $1,100 in donations since July.

Sometimes the twists of logic and reason are so conspicuous, they help us identify the agenda behind the masks of haters of humanity. Thanks to TheSarce for the ping to this thread by Sherman Logan.

Having a large number of children is bad for parents' health - particularly that of mothers, a study suggests. US researchers looked at 21,000 couples living in Utah between 1860 and 1985, who bore a total of 174,000 children.

It was found the more children couples had, the worse their health and the more likely they were to die early.

FEEDING TUBES ARE NOT TORTURE DEVICES.

I'd like to note however, that we should be careful not to demonize feeding tubes. They are not horrid torture devices. Sometimes, premature babies and children need them. There are portable feeding tubes like back packs called G-tubes. They are not scary looking and should not be looked upon as if it's a torture device. They save lives, sustain life and many times after therapy, can be tossed aside.

For anyone interested, here's Terri's Foundation w/other links that may prove helpful.

TIME to move on, sez Fox News! Fox News ratifies the definitive Vatican stand on Terri.

......................................

Time Magazine has published a story that suggests John Paul II may have been euthanized by his doctors at his own request.

The article is blatantly irresponsible, for the reasons I will explain below. But of even greater journalistic concern are the author’s false statements about what the Catholic Church teaches regarding end-of-life care.

It would be in the magazine’s best interest to issue a public retraction of its error.

Blatantly Irresponsible

With the provocative title “Was John Paul II Euthanized?” Time editors have lobbed suspicion into the public square about the late pontiff’s personal integrity.

We are made to wonder if John Paul II practiced what he preached. The world knew him as the great defender of the dignity of human life, from the moment of conception until natural death, but according to Time’s report, when the going got tough, John Paul II himself may have thrown in the towel.

This would be a great story if it were true. The facts say it’s not.

~Snip~

Time was eager to publish this report in order to draw us into a debate over Pope Benedict XVI’s recent clarification that the administration of food and water to a patient, even by artificial means, in principle, should be considered ordinary medical treatment, and therefore, should not be withheld from a patient. The clarification was seen as the Vatican’s definitive response to the Terri Schiavo case.

Fair enough. Debate is good, especially on issues which are rarely black and white. But let’s base our debate on facts.

For the sake of journalistic integrity, it would be in Time Magazine’s best interest to issue a public retraction of its error.

We’ll be watching.

God bless, Father Jonathan

Rudy Tuesday was yesterday, and this came out yesterday.

Fred and Terri...

I said it before. The second part of this mistake in not remembering Terri is defined by the lefties. Perhaps he and so many conservatives just do not yet appreciate the profound negative effect Terri carries with the left. They have suffered the burden of carrying her legacy on their shoulders for two and a half years after they thought it was over. So, they will rub it in time and again.

The Atlantic.com comes up with a scenario nearly laughable, as they show Rudy as the contender and Fred as lagging behind because of Terri (inter alia).

..................................

FRED THOMPSON -- Thompson has lost the elite primary, but he's OK with grassroots Republicans so far. Which one is the trailing indicator? Can anyone tighten him up on the stump? His gaffes come one after the other, he often contradicts himself from one thought to the next, and the national press coverage has been savage. The Florida trip was a disaster; there's no sugarcoating it. An electorate begging for authencity isn't going to buy the notion that he didn't know much about the Terri Schiavo situation. And the Everglades oil drilling comment was just bizarre.

Anti-Coerced Abortion Bill 'Absolutely Necessary' Say 'Silent No More' Leaders

STATEN ISLAND, NY, September 19, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Leaders of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, the nation's largest network of women and men testifying to the harm they endured from abortion, today said that a Wisconsin bill to help prevent coerced abortion is needed not only in that state, but across the country.

"In recent months alone, we've seen numerous high profile news stories about women threatened and intimidated by their parents, boyfriends, and others into having abortions," said Georgette Forney, Co- Founder of the SNMAC. "I know from talking to thousands of women that these are not isolated cases. I also know that the pain and torment caused by abortion can only be magnified when a woman submits involuntarily to the taking of her child. I don't see how anyone could oppose this measure."

Janet Morana, another SNMAC co-founder, added, "The Wisconsin bill only requires an abortionist to determine if the woman's consent is voluntary and to provide her with information on available services should the doctor determine that she's at risk of domestic abuse. It's a small step toward protecting women from this kind of violence, but it's absolutely necessary." Wisconsin's bill to prevent coerced abortion has passed the Assembly Judiciary Committee and is awaiting a vote by the full legislative body. Seven other states have passed similar measures.

The devil goes to church, and to college at Loyola and Father Lawton just wants to be one of the gaias...

Compared to the news coming out of Rome, , the two faiths we see are opposite one another.

University president who brought feminist theologians and pro-abortion commencement speakers to Catholic university in LA gets accolade from Cardinal Mahony

~Snip~Under Lawton, the archdiocese and the university have enjoyed amicable relations. With the archdiocese’s Hindu-Catholic Dialogue, the university offered an April 2005 symposium featuring “ecofeminist” Rosemary Radford Ruether, who proposes calling God “Gaia,” the Roman Mother Earth goddess. In 2004 the university offered a symposium at which speaker Fr. Michael Crosby called celibacy “a system of power, of patriarchy.”

~Snip~n June 2006, Florida state circuit court Judge George Greer, who ordered feeding tubes removed from Terry Schiavo, spoke at a conference on media law at the Loyola Law School. “Based on the intense scrutiny and media coverage generated by the Schiavo case,” said a Loyola press release, “Judge Greer will bring a unique perspective to the journalists in attendance.”

Greer’s address was not the first connection Loyola Marymount has had with the Schiavo case. In 2004, Loyola Marymount bioethics professor James Walter signed on to the amicus curiae brief arguing that Michael Schiavo should be allowed to deprive his wife -- in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years -- of food and hydration.

Distinguished record?

They say this with a straight face, describe their fantasy of a perfect compatible Republican. Maybe they should check out Rudy...

This much is certain: Sanders’ move was consistent with the trajectory of American public opinion. According to The Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, in 1996, 27 percent of Americans favored legalizing same-sex marriage. By spring 2006, that number had risen to 39 percent before falling several months later to 33 percent. (Support tends to falter when the debate heightens. It did so in 2004 when San Francisco attempted to marry same-sex couples; in 2006, rhetoric amid the midterm elections might have done the trick.) Conversely, opposition to gay marriage fell from 65 percent in 1996 to 51 percent in spring 2006 before rising to 55 percent last summer.

~Snip~

Sanders is a genuinely decent human being and a libertarian when it comes to social issues. In other words, he's our kind of Republican. His sudden strong stance in favor of equality under the law could split the Republicans locally and isolate the wing of the party populated by the sort intolerant bigots who want to teach Christianity in public schools, keep people like Terri Schiavo from dying with dignity, stop potentially groundbreaking stem-cell research, make abortion illegal and much more dangerous and strip gay citizens of their constitutional rights.

Atlantic City, NJ (LifeNews.com) -- The Alternatives abortion center in Atlantic City, New Jersey has closed down for good and opted to surrender its license to do abortions rather than correct the numerous health and safety problems state inspectors found. Officials closed the Alternatives abortion center in June after they found multiple health code violations.

They found the abortion center had problems with infection control issues, poor documentation and record-keeping and problems with the facility itself.

Yes folks, at long last, it is time again for The Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally Art Contest. This year's contest will be the 3rd Annual and marks the 81th Anniversary of Margaret Sanger's speech to the Women's Branch of the Silver Lake Ku Klux Klan. In her own 1938 autobiography, Margaret Sanger An Autobiography (1971 reprint by Dover Publications, Inc. of the 1938 original published by W.W. Norton & Company) Sanger indicates at pages 366-367 that the she got along quite well with members of a New Jersey branch of the Ku Klux Klan at her 1926 speech, eventually getting a "dozen invitations to speak to similar groups."

Participants in this year's contest are encouraged to commemorate Sanger at the Klan rally in unique artistic ways. Drawings, cartoons, historical novels, haiku, dance, plays, videos, paintings, quilts, rap, puppetry, modern interpretations of Sanger speaking to the Klan, reenactments of the speech on YouTube, mime, audio recordings of actual Sanger quotes she may have reused when speaking to the Klan - - there is no limit to the artistic ways this historic event can be commemorated. Please note, this year we will not be accepting photoshopped entries.

We are honored this year to have two prestigous bloggers as judges, Jill Stanek and Sean Dailey.

Fighting the Aurora abortuary...

Thread by wagglebee.

Aurora, IL (LifeNews.com) -- Pro-life advocates are using another new tactic in their efforts to stop a new Planned Parenthood abortion center from opening in this northern Illinois city. An attorney has discovered that the abortion business may have failed to obtain a special use permit and hold a public hearing on how it would use the new facility.

Aurora-based lawyer Vincent Tessitore has talked with city officials about his analysis of city zoning codes.

Tessitore found that one section appears to mandate a special permit for health facilities that aren't operated by non-profit groups.

Did you catch the "award winning" quote by the principal?:

She told the Des Moines Register newspaper that she examined King's presentation beforehand and "quite a bit of it does talk about civil rights, but there is a connection to morals."

I guess she doesn't seem to think the civil rights movement has anything to do with morality.
