*U.S. troops where those who remained would take on a “support role” away from the front-lines.*

This from his statement on the war.
Helloooo! Front-Lines. That was WWII
The wars we have been fighting the past many years don’t have Front-Lines.

But what do you expect from Mitt, a guy who never served in the military nor any of his 5 sons.

Wrong again.

Romney ran on conservative principles way back in 1994 when he ran for the Senate.

A campaign flyer unearthed from the 1994 race lists a side-by-side comparison of positions between Romney and Kennedy for 24 election issues. Images of the front and back of the flyer are available on the web. A closeup of the flyer with the candidate comparison on the issues is shown below:

Romney held the solid conservative position for 23 of the 24 issues listed; the only exception being the pledge to maintain the status quo in Massachusetts regarding a woman's right to choose. A pro-choice position in Massachusetts in 1994 was a socially moderate stance accommodating the large majority opinion of voters in the state.

Two points:

1 - Ronald Reagan was probably the most pro-life president in history - I suppose W is tied with him. But RR wasn't only pro-choice, he legalized abortion in his state long before RvW.

2 - Despite what he said when he was running, Romney *consistently* came down on the side of life when he was governor. This includes his futile veto of embryonic stem cell research.

So let us consider what he did while in office while allowing for some changes of heart on the road to Damascus, k?
