Just reported on a news break.
Ooops....reconsidering HIS resignation
This moron really needs to be gone.
He can’t even make up his mind.
Screw you, Larry. No pun intended...
Holy cow. We’re going to have fun with this.
Maybe he’s hoping he can be tapped for the 2nd spot on the ticket.
Thanks Arlen Spectre — just when we thought we had “moved on” we may have to get back into this mess for a long time to come.......
Don’t say “tapped” when referring to Senator Craig.
I guess the experience of the last few weeks has left a bad taste in his mouth.
This guy would be great as a quarterback. Calling one audible and then calling another..no wait...lets call the other play.
Boy is this guy ever wishy washy
Craig goes both ways.
Ooopsie. I changed my mind..........ain’t it just like a woman?
Call him Senator Bojangles.
McGreevey/Craig in ‘08?
I think he needs money. Letterman and Leno are quietly paying him to do this. Good for their business.
It's too late now. We don't need a Jefferson, too.

Sounds like a law suit coming...
Now that’s just gay.

Damn wide stance to take. Resign, don’t resign. One foot in one stall one foot in another, and his @ss in a SF bath house. Stick a fork in it twinkle toes. You are done.
That is a very FRANK (Barney) proposal. :-)

Here’s Larry on a voice mail saying Spector will support him.

shouldn’t HIS be hith...
how faaaabulouthhhh.
does this mean extra work for the actress hired to play his wife?
Sen. Larry Craig (R) opened the possibility of reversing his stated intention to resign from the Senate on Sept. 30 in a voice mail message obtained by Roll Call that the Idaho conservative inadvertently left at a wrong number.
No. :-)
Wow, this would assuredly piss off everyone, MSM, Libs, Conservatives, Rats and Republicans.
Ole “Scotish law” should have STFU.
Craig was toast on his amnesty vote.
Think about it. What a great way to trap a politician
Go into a bathroom, cop makes an allegation, you have to defend yourself (cops never lie, media scrutiny) take a plea....
I am not defending this guy, never even heard of him until this incident. But really, what a way to set someone up
Probably some concern for his pension.
ROFL
He left it at the wrong number? What a moron.
I don’t think Craig should stay, I doubt he can be reelected, but it’s a shame the GOP is so cowardly. They could have said he did something wrong, but shouldnt resign over an allegation of attempted gay sex, unless Barney, Teddy and a lot of others are leaving with him.
jackass
He said the word "intent" to resign.
It was NOT a resignation speech.
He needs to suck it up, swallow his pride, get on his knees and beg for forgiveness. He might be able to slide back into his job.
This may be the reason...
Rep. Frank Sad to See Sen. Craig Leave Congress
Senator Larry Craig (R-Idaho) announced his resignation following exposure of his arrest during a sting operation at a Minnesota airport mens room three months ago. The sting operation was initiated after numerous complaints of harassment by men seeking anonymous sex at the facility. Craig was alleged to have solicited sex from a police officer staking out the next toilet stall.
The resignation of Senator Craig came as a cruel blow to Representative Barney Frank (D-Mass.). If only I had been the one in the next toilet stall this scandal could’ve been avoided, Frank observed.
Frank, one of two openly gay members of Congress, said Craig should have come to me. We could have made beautiful music together.
Since Craigs effective date of resignation is September 30, Frank expressed the hope that he would be able to give him a proper send-off.

I got to other better “supposes”:
1) Suppose he investigated and found there is some enormous pension windfall he gets if he hangs on to the end of his term.
2) Suppose other investigation indicated there were no law firms who would want to hire him so he was looking at total unemployment.
I guess he doesnt want to “hand-off” his Senate seat?
Whether you are Republican or Democrat, a politician is a politician. They just cannot let go of that power!
Larry, please, fish or get off the pot...so to speak!
Holy smokes. This guy sure has a bad habit of trying to send deliveries to the wrong address.
I got it right away - you’re about as good as me...
Yeah, he would make a great running mate for either Hil or OHB.
Huh?
