Mitt will be the next President, we have decided, it is done.
Ya, he sure looks casual in that shot
Yeah, right between the eyes with a cheapshot.
They are serving their country by participating in a political campaign. So are all the candidates. All public officials serve the country (in theory). He never claimed they were making the same sacrifice, because that is nonsense. The point trying to be made against Romney is over-emotional and 'gotcha' politics. Holier-than-thou-ness can inflict both religious people and military types, as well as any other group.
I agree. Huckabee showed real leadership and strength in debating Paul. Hunter finally stepped it up quite a few notches with an excellent performance. All the candidates made good points. Tancredo stutters a bit too much - not comfortable enough.
Wrong..I thought that local sheriff was a disgrace and his comments were totally out of line. It’s not a requirement that the sons of a presidential candidate serve in the military.
Your’re husband doesn’t make very good judgements. Only Clinton can have that title.
You're kidding right? Did you read the police report and interview transcripts? Craig is guilty as sin of trolling for gay sex in a public restroom...he's also extremely dumb. Oh, and he also pleaded guilty, not to mention tried to intimidate the cops by flashing his Senate business card and saying 'What do you think about that?'. When he realized he was busted, Craig said 'No!' and later claimed 'you solicited me'. He's a pervert.
Defending Craig is like defending O.J. Throw him under the bus!
GO MITT! Great performance.
Sad to say, but Hunter's treatment by the media reminds me of those "Capital One" commercials with the 3-inch tall Small Business Owner...
Plus, it was McCain who demanded Craig resign from the senate. Romney merely condemned his actions (for which he pled guilty) and accepted his resignation from the campaign.
We should hold our elected representatives to a higher standard. Just because the dems have no standards, doesn't mean we have to follow along.
Neither Rudy, Fred or Mitt — or any of their kids — served in the military. Since it seems that they are the only three electable candidates, it is sort of a non-issue for the nomination.
"Massachusetts in 2002 was spending an enormous amount of public money on health care--and yet leaving almost one 10th of its population uncovered. Romney became more and more interested in this problem and demanded a detailed survey of the uninsured population."
"The big surprise revealed by Romney's investigation: The uninsured were not as poor as everybody had assumed they were. A majority of them could have bought health insurance if they wanted to--they chose not to buy, because they regarded health insurance as a bad deal. It cost too much--especially for the self-employed, for whom health insurance is not tax deductible. It covered too much. And everybody knew that even if you did not buy it, hospitals would care for you all the same." (Could This Man Be the Next U.S. President?, David Frum, January 10, 2007)
Under federal law, nearly all hospitals are required to provide a certain level of treatment to all patients who visit their emergency rooms, regardless of those patients ability to pay. Governor Romney sought a way to prevent the free-rider problem: those who take advantage of emergency services and then skip out on the charges, leaving taxpayers to cover the bill. In a very real sense, we already have universal healthcare in the U.S., but many are not paying their share of the cost for the services they receive.
Jim Gilmore isn’t even in the race anymore. Did you even watch the debate? Sheesh, your bias is camouflaged in cellophane.
Why do you Mitt-worshippers keep spreading these lies and denying what Mitt himself says, when he supports embryonic stem cell research?
Indeed I did. But you have certainly not read the thread.
No rebuttal to Romney's current social liberal stances, supporting embryonic stem cell research and gay rights?
Silence.
No rebuttal to Romney's current social liberal stances, supporting embryonic stem cell research and gay rights?
Post after post and you sidestep the issues -- just close your eyes to the facts and support the Mormon, huh? Ignore the things you don't like, because Mitt is the chosen one?
