So far, immigration officials have identified a total of 425 people they believe are in the U.S. illegally, including the August total.

If that is in a single prison (sounds like it is) and if they are doing this in every prison in the USA (sounds like they aren’t since the aggregate number isn’t reported) and if they are actually going to deport the illegals they identify (not guaranteed) this is a good thing and good numbers from a single prison. A single guy assigned to a prison with clerical and research support could go through an entire prison population in a reasonable time, and then go to other duties with only new entrants being checked for citizenship.
This stuff is so simple to do. Our government is like a giant, bloated, imbecile . . . Can’t we get a government that is like a persnickity clerk instead? It would be an improvement.
Well, it’s a small step. Unfortunately, small steps are all we get.
