“Feel good story for the afternoon” is right.

I find it interesting (in a good way) that the police bothered to charge him with luring. I expected them to solicite anyone with knowledge of his attackers to step forward so they can prosecute on his behalf.

If there was more of this there would be less of that.
Anyways, that's the way it's supposed to work.

Investigators said Mr. Newingham, 43, had been inviting children to his home since last month.

WTF??? This is crazy. The pervert had been inviting children to his home since last month and no one reported it??? Pathetic.

No one should applaud, because this is yet another weakening of the rule of law.

The rule of law is not working, it seems.

Anyone in the neighborhood who had thoughts about doing something like this is likely having second ones. I truly believe God's logic is in agreement with whoever beat this perv.

Logic states that you are quite correct. However emotion wants to locate the people who did the beat down and shake their hands.

Vigilantes attacked a Beaver County man Tuesday because he allegedly tried to lure two children into his Economy Village home, Ambridge police said.

If this guy "...allegedly tried to lure two children..." shouldn't the sentence also read: "Vigilantes allegedly attacked a Beaver County man..."

Vigilanteism is a symptom of a justice system that does not work. If the authorities will not enforce the law, then the people will do so in their own way.

Of course the one area where the courts WILL enforce the law is against vigilantes. But it’s gotten so bad that even the threat of incarceration is not deterring vigilantes from dispensing justice.

Wouldn’t surprise me if some of the ladies were involved too.

It would surprise me . . . mainly because if the women in the neighborhood beat him up we’d be having even more fun with this.

POLICE BAFFLED

There’s nullification by a jury . . .

And then there’s nullification by the police . . .
