Weren't the Chamberlains eventually vindicated, though? Didn't they find the baby's clothes in a dingo lair years later, or something?

This is a sad case. I'm reserving judgment, but there certainly is something fishy in all of this. Who in Hell leaves their kids alone in a hotel room to go to dinner?

The Chamberlains were acquitted (that case did go to trial, I believe), although it was never concluded as to who or what killed little Azaria.

That was a rather odd case. The Ozzie press crucified Lindy Chamberlain for "not showing grief" when it was obvious to me that she was the type who suffered such emotions in silence. It is very rare for a Dingo to attack a human, even a child, but not unheard of (we recently had a child nearly killed by a coyote here in New Jersey).
