Nation/states only play on the peripheries of this conflict as well... citizenship becomes meaningless.

heck, someone can walk over the border soon be voting, collecting welfare and working for less than minimum wage, whats a citizen?

this conflict could last 100 years or more, I wonder how much of the political map of the world will change in the meantime?
