sorry bee, I didn’t go so far as to call anyone an idiot. I just said “idiotic”. Didn’t mean to offend. I have just had to swallow so much of the Zero chance this and that over Hunter and other stuff MUCH closer to home.

I really didn’t mean to offend. Sorry if I did.

“I will vote for anyone, even kooky Ron Paul over Hitlery.”

Their differnce is hitlery will enslave us, but RPaul will get us all killed.

Like anyone of the hollywood leftys said about W, if either one of HRC or RP get elected, I’m moving somewhere else FAST.

A neo-FReepers seems to be any of us who imagine that relevant history of any sort occurred after 1789 and ought to be noticed as we make decisions today. For example, if you or I would think the use of the military is a bad idea even after 12/7/41 or 9/11/01, and would prefer to issue “letters of marque and reprisal” to eccentrics in tri-cornered hats with hankies up their sleeves and wielding really BIG TIME weapons like privately owned sailing ships and sabres and daggers, then you would not be a “neo-FReeper” but would be a paleowhatever. If you would prefer to use against our nation’s enemies, the US Air Force, aircraft carriers, Navy fighters, and nuclear attack subs and boomers and to use them to kill our enemies efficiently and break their will and their things, then you would be what the paleowhatevers might call a “neo-FReeper.” It’s just another word for effective patriot.

Say what you like, Ron Paul’s the only one in the race on the side of the angels on the virulently unconstitutional Patriot Act. If Fred Thompson goes nowhere (as is eminently possible), plain old Dave’ll plain old vote for Ron Paul in the primaries.

Anyone that thinks we should cut and run from Iraq or would support a candidate who does is neither a true Republican or conservative.

well - you keep patting yourself on your back and telling yourself that.....

some of us havent seen an end game defined, other than to throw more troops at tsomething that should have had full commitment from the start.

Please xplain to me what our goal is besides killing terrorists ? (which is a valid cause in its own right...but we could do that anywhere.....especially with open borders)

You speak to Angels?

Ron Paul supporters as Prophets, I'm not suprised.

If you do, capitalize the A, if you don't, you're full of Sh*t, capitalized S

You raise an interesting point which I might not have the time to pursue.

The Founders, the Paul supporters channel them.

Yet they raised a Navy, with Marines, which is with us to this day.

To fight Islamic nutballs.

Established a permanent base in Gibraltar if I recall.

Underlying the marque arguement is contemt for the military.

We have an enemy, send in Dog the bounty hunter.

Of course since we'll have no money for a militay after eliminating the income and social security taxes without a replacement, Dog is all we'll have left.

Apologies to Naval hero John Kerry, he'll be in France.

All we need are the patriotic voters. If we get those, we can save ourselves the humiliation of allowing the barking moonbat and pro-Al Qaeda types a place at the table.

Neither populists nor Reagan Democrats would touch paleoPaulie, surrendermonkey extraordinaire, with someone else’s ten foot pole.

I think RP will get a much larger “protest vote” than many are now expecting. Only the disgusted will be for Paul in the end.

I agree to a large extent. I think Paul will be the Keyes of 2008 and stay in the race until the bitter end. He does’t need much money to run his campaign and most likely has enough now.

By staying Paul will get the anti vote and will be hoping for a spot on the convention rostrum but he won’t get it. I think Paul may do a little better than Keyes who got some 5% of the popular vote and six delegate votes at the Convention.

All we need are the patriotic voters.

Hint: Most of them are already supporting Paul and have no intention of holding their noses for the GOP nominee after the abuse they and their candidate have taken.

If we get those, we can save ourselves the humiliation of allowing the barking moonbat and pro-Al Qaeda types a place at the table.

The barking moonbats and al-Qaida lovers are already going to vote for the Democrat.

Neither populists nor Reagan Democrats would touch paleoPaulie, surrendermonkey extraordinaire, with someone else’s ten foot pole.

Yeah, nevermind Paul's stance on trade, taxes, jobs, globalism, sovereignty etc. People will just ditch him because of the war.

virulently unconstitutional Patriot

agreed

I have to laugh at these “conservative’ huffers and puffers here on FR talking tough but so eager to give up freedoms in the process. The same crowd will express shock and dismay when the govt comes for thier guns, but it will be too late, if it isnt already

some of them have a glimmer that the first thing we need to do is secure our borders - but for the most part (between knuckle dragging and Hienekens) they all clamor for a war with undefined longterm goals

what are we aiming for - a stable Iraqi govt ? - a platform for our next battle with Iran ?

That RP...what a nut (/sarc)

Only the disgusted will be for Paul in the end

only the disgusted will be supporting him from the start -

Unfortunately the status quo will vote for career politicians who's integrity falls far short in a blind allegiance to a party that abandoned the conservative core - way back with pops Bush

Being elected to the House of Representatives is scarcely a quality that makes a national leader. Dingell and Pelosi get elected repeatedly, too, and I wouldn’t vote for them for President. Representative Paul is marginal in his ability to get support from most voters, and I want to keep Hillary Clinton out of the White House, darn it!
