I'm sure the "United Race" is pleased that the US government is still using "run letters." On the other hand, in San Francisco allies of the "United Race" have gotten an injunction (from a Clinton judge) against "do not employ" letters. Seems that some US lawyers are better than others. LOL.

A total of 13 family members, five of whom lived with Santos, were tested for tuberculosis. Four adults tested positive for the inactive, noncontagious form of the disease and are being treated, Goins said.

It doesn't take an Einstein to figure out all of these people are illegal. So what is Ice doing about it! Not a damn thing, your tax dollars at work!

Unbridled stupidity, but we’re tolerant, and the only thing we won’t tolerate is logic, reason and sound judgment. The “rights” of the one outweighs the risks to the many.

Inadmissible Aliens
Some potential immigrants are barred from entering the United States. INADMISSIBLE aliens cannot enter the country as immigrants, refugees, or asylum seekers because they fail to meet the necessary requirements. Reasons for inadmissibility include:

Communicable diseases. Carriers of diseases such as tuberculosis, AIDS, typhoid fever, and other serious ailments that can easily be transmitted are not allowed to emigrate. The reason is obvious: Someone carrying a serious or deadly disease can infect others and create a severe health crisis. (It is possible for someone with a serious communicable disease to have a finding of inadmissibility overturned, but only if he or she can prove that the disease in question has been cured.

Should have been taken STRAIGHT to deportation center...no hearing, no question the law was violated by the illegal and those setting them free.

If they are not allowed to immigrate due to the disease due to risk of spreading it, how can they be allowed to stay pending a hearing?

If this story makes it into the Japanese press over here, they will be INCREDULOUS!

The thought of a gaikokujin, (foreigner) not only being illegal on this soil here, but then having TB to boot, being released and asked to come back for some kind of hearing after being issue a simple "shutto meirei" (notice to appear), in Japan, would have them in a FIT! It would not even be fathomable. The administrators who issued such a ruling, if found out, would have to end up committing suicide after apologizing to the nation.

Laws don’t seem to matter anymore.

Shame on you AiT. His illegal status and tuberculosis are merely peripheral issues that are negated by our nation’s need to embrace “family values” from south of the Rio Grande. Haven’t you been listening to Bush??

The thought of a gaikokujin, (foreigner) not only being illegal on this soil here, but then having TB to boot, being released and asked to come back for some kind of hearing after being issue a simple "shutto meirei" (notice to appear), in Japan, would have them in a FIT! Gee, you mean the national interest trumps the right of illegals...? What a novel concept. The administrators in this country want to be applauded for their "tolerance".

The Japanese run a pretty tight ship don't they? How hard is it for a citizen of the U.S. to actually immigrate to Japan...? I'm not talking about a visa for a businessman. Is it true that even if a Japanese national marries a westerner and they go back to Japan it incredibly difficult for that spouse to acquire Japanese citizenship...?
