He’s already stepping in to the President’s role...This is an important distinction to make between candidates. IMO, the candidate who runs a Presidential campaign will win the primary (and the election). All the others are looking like wannabes while Fred is displaying the characteristics from the get-go.

That is what he has been doing all along. Doing things separate from the wannabes, taking his own path and not sinking himself into the background noise before he really has to. He has been talking about the problems with the people, not the other candidates.
It is working from what I can see in my travels among the normal folks, ie those who don’t live and breath this stuff like me and my fellow idiots on FreeRepublic;-)
