I LIKE CHEESE!!! (I have no sister or moose) (vanity)
self
Posted on 09/08/2007 3:21:04 PM PDT by The Spirit Of Allegiance
I investigated the Culture of Dairy Corruption. Yes, I made cheese, from a jug of milk in my fridge that went sour the other day. I drained the liquid and sampled it today...well, it was OK for an amateur, I guess. Kind of like cottage cheese but slightly more bitter.
Not as good as the famous seasoned TRI TIP they're having at the FR Annual Picnic today, but better than the Iraqis and Afghans would be having without our brave troops overseas...
...appreciation and support of which is the real reason for this thread (besides collecting pictures of moose and cheese and sisters--DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN). Please spread the word about GOE via the links below.
Cheers!
Cheese!

Mix in some cream, whip until smooth then add some onion and chives to your cheese, wrap it in cheese cloth, put it in a strainer and weight the top. Let it drip in the fridge for a week.
In the end, you will have a Slovak butter cheese. It makes a great spread on bread. Yum.
God bless the troops too!

I sampled some Havarti with tiny piece of pickles or relish in it yesterday.
It was quite good.

If you think it’s too cheesy, it’s YOUR responsibility to add other ingredients to this thread.

It's almost time for "Deep Sea Moose" season here on the Florida Gulf Coast at Panama City.
Soon we'll be hearing the marine vhf radios reporting the spotting of "Antlers in the surf!" and we'll all try to make it offshore and bag us a salt-water moose or two to put up for the winter.
If you've never had moose jerky, made from a freshly-landed Gulf of Mexico Deep Sea Moose, smoked the old-fashioned way, ya ain't had no jerky.

LOL! Sounds good. My husband, being of Slovak decent, might like it. Even though it doesn’t contain the "staple of life"...cabbage. :o}

Ah, yes, garlic.
Garlic is to food as cowbell is to music.
