Firearms refresher course
NA | NA | NA

Posted on 09/08/2007 7:26:11 PM PDT by dvan

"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not." ~ Thomas Jefferson

(This is why Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton want gun control so badly!)

FIREARMS REFRESHER COURSE

1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.

2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.

3. Colt: The original point and click interface.

4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.

5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?

6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.

7. Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.

8. If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.

10. The United States Constitution (c)1791. All Rights Reserved.

11. What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?

12. The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.

13. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.

14. Guns only have two enemies; rust and politicians.

15. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.

16. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.

17. 911: Government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.

18. Assault is a behavior, not a device.

19. Criminals love gun control; it makes their jobs safer.

20. If guns cause crime then matches cause arson.

21. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.

22. You have only the rights you are willing to fight for.

23. Enforce the gun control laws we ALREADY have; don't make more.

24. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.

25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.

I wonder why the government didn't try to restrict gun ownership during WWII?

26. It is better to have a gun when you need one rather than to need a gun when you don’t have one....

This is preaching to the converted.
If you’re still unarmed by now, you’re either suicidal or idiotic.

Serious refresher content:

1: Assume All Guns Are Always Loaded - Make NO Exceptions
2: Never Point A Gun Where You Are Not Willing To Shoot
3: Keep Your Finger OFF the Trigger (Until You Are Ready To Shoot)
4: Know Your Target And What Is Beyond

Just for kids:

"If you see a gun -- Stop. Don't touch. Leave the area. Tell an adult."

27. If guns are responsible for gun crime then we’d better confiscate pens to reduce bad checks.

The first question my firearm (CCW) instructor asked everyone in the
the class was, "Could you shoot a 13-year old person holding a gun".

The responses were mixed, and he asked those who said "no" to leave the class
because they were wasting his time.

His point was made.

Your quote attributed to Jefferson is most assuredly not his. Starting with a phony quote is kind of a mistake IMO.

25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.

That’s what started the American Revolution.
The British went to Concord to disarm the American Subjects.

Call for a cop and call for a pizza.
Guess who shows up first.

Some of us know that having a gun in the house is not always for the best.

Life long member of NRA. I don’t own a gun, but I want the right to have one if that is my desire.

As a person that suffers from extreme depression (with suicidal tendencies) and born with a temper, I don’t own a gun. However, I sleep with a large baseball bat under my bed. And with my temper … well, you get the picture.

"I wonder why the government didn't try to restrict gun ownership during WWII?"

Funny you should bring that up:
Britain HAD had gun control for quite some time by WWII, and as a result the populace was essentially unarmed.

Therefore ordinary American citizens shipped their own personal weapons to Britain to arm the people in case of the German invasion that most felt was impending.

Correct!!!!
How is it that no-one knows / remembers this?
Look what they have now with the current ban on firearms.

"Some of us know that having a gun in the house is not always for the best."

Many things that are "known" are simply not true.

Perhaps if you practiced a little self-control, or even got some professional help...

I don't know many with a shorter temper than me, but I've never shot at anyone except in self-defense.

I don’t think he wants a shrink reporting to the FBI and having his Second Amendment rights revoked.

Thank you for being a member.
You have the right to be armed or not as you choose
as does every American.
I can only hope you are at my back if the fit ever hits the shan.
Good hopes and best wishes.
