Thompson as the slicked tongued “prettyboy.” And Hunter as the behind the scenes arm twister with an attitude.

I like it.

I think they’d make a fine pair. I haven’t seen either one out trashing any of their opponents. That’s not a smart thing to do anyway, just in case you might need one of them as a Veep candidate.

Rudy might be a good choice. Being vice president would put a damper on his ability to implement his more liberal side. But what if a critical vote in the Senate came down to him? Would he follow the lead of the President in the White House, or would he follow his own course as President of the Senate?

If I where Thompson I would be afraid of being stabbed in the back by Rudy. Rudy has too much political ambition. I believe as VP he would constantly be jockeying for position for 2012 and not focused on implementing the policies of the President.

The Vice President represents the White House in the Senate.
The idea that a VP Rudy would disobey the President is ridiculous, paranoid, and a little bit insulting.

Did Reagan ever lose a tax vote in the Senate because Vice President Bush didn’t believe in “voodoo economics”?

One thing that can be said about Giuliani is he is a solid Republican partisan and a team player.

It’s also been said many times that the Vice President is little more than the nation’s official funeral observer, and Rudy has certainly attended a lot of funerals. I think he would be a fine Vice President, and would boost the GOP’s vote tally, which could make the difference not only in the presidential race, but also in the congressional races.

Precisely. He’s a great guy, etc. but he brings nothing to the ticket that would appeal to the general electorate.

Hunter has a 0% realistic chance of getting the nod.
