Winfrey recently told Larry King, “My support of him is probably worth more than any check that I could write.”
Calling her estate a “special, sacred, spiritual” place, Winfrey had warned her guests to be on their best behavior. “To offer it ... is no small thing for me,” she said. “There are going to be some serious restrictions and requirements to get in here.”

Ditto and yep.
It seems like there’s some sort of balancing equation that occurs:
1,000,000 X (money + fame) = -1,000,000 X (brains + common sense + morals)
I don’t underestimate the weight she’ll carry with the voters in her congregation .... not one little bit.
How trite and practiced.
Oh but they are. Don’t you notice how they live with the little people, eat with the little people, contribute their millions to the little people . . .
They care, no doubt about it.
man she has sure suckered bored white housewives a long time...
She made her living. She is an extremely successful person. She can let her biases out now that she no longer needs to chase that goal.

- The only concern Hitlery has is that Obama might stay in the race right up to the end, thus hiving off a lot of black votes and splitting the Dems in the same way that Ross Perot allowed the Pants Dropper in Chief to squeeze into Office with 42% of the vote back in 1992.
I’m sure that she already has a plan to deal with this possibility, ranging all the way from a smear and sneer campaign, to a buy off and, as a last resort, promising him a place on the ticket as her VP running mate.
Guests are rich, maybe....but all second and third tier "famous".
For all her money, Oprah can never buy herself into the true elite society in this country....and it no doubt rankles her.
Only in Hollyweird can she fantasize and fashion her own "high society" comprised of first-generation nouveau riche like herself who in most cases are deficient in education, classiness, taste and moral clarity.
If Oprah threw her Obama bash in the old money society circles of Newport, the Hamptons, Miami, Cape Cod, New York, Martha's Vineyard or the landed Virginia gentry, her only guests would be the media and local bartenders. The "400" will never let Oprah's nose into their tents no matter what her politics are.
Even her "mini-hamburger" menu shows how she strives for effect, i.e. "I'm so rich I can serve Whopper Jr's to look like jes one of the common folk.......and the guests will go 'oooo' and 'ahhhhh' and the media will love it".
Oprah isn't stupid. She knows her money and even her charities in Africa will never gain her entree into the ranks of the true elite. Show biz remains her only realm and here she can reign as a faux elitist, especially if she involves herself into left coast liberal causes.
So, it's no accident that she endorses Obama who is really a media-made, rock 'n roll, charismatic-looking, feel-good, smooth-talking thespian candidate with little behind the movie-set facade except empty space.

Of course. That has _always_ been the "issue" for EVERY racial and ethnic group, but for one exception: the white Euros.
And it will _always_ be that way for those other groups. They know inherently to "protect and promote" their own. Hence, "La Raza". Hence, "black [insert your favorite term here]". But promote "white {insert your favorite term here]", and you'll be ostracized and banned, perhaps even from as reasoned and rational a forum as this very one.
It is only the white/Euros who are foolish enough (and filled with enough self-loathing) to think that by denigrating their own culture, and promoting the cultures of others, that they are engaging in proper and politically correct behavior.
And this is exactly white the Caucasian race, along with its traditional values, mores, and culture, is in its current condition: decline.
