Don’t know if it’s posted on FR, but the Ventura County Star article on his visit starts by describing a bunch of Santa Barbara college girls giggling about how Obama looked them in the eyes. Wrong article to read at breakfast, I can tell you!

“Did she miss his recent comments on Pakistan?”

Do you expect Oprah to listen to O’Bama’s speeches? Much less, understand them?

Exactly, it’s just color of his skin; that’s her most important “issue”.

>>”I haven’t been actively engaged before because there hasn’t been anything to be actively engaged in.”<<

What a pompous, isolated, self-absorbed POS this woman is, she thinks that because Barry is HALF black, it’s time to be “actively engaged”. What did she think 9/11 was, just air traffic problems in the Northeast? I simply cannot believe the breathtaking stupidity of this statement.

At one time, I worked for a super wealth old, old, old family and they were unfailingly civil and didn’t know you were actually human.

I know a few of those. But it's better than the nouveau limousine liberals, who don't even know how to be unfailingly civil.

LOL! There’s no way I would work for one of them.

I may have been “the help” but I have my standards!

Do y'all suppose oprah'll convert to islam for Barack MOHAMMAD Obama?

Actually, I would't bet against it. These people willingly throw away reason for the cult of personality, which is why they are so dangerous. If you are physically attractive and a slick talker, they will worship at their feet.

Remember when Emma Thompson and other actresses said they would be glad to give Billy Jeff Clinton a BJ?

In this world of delusion JFK was a family man, Princess Diana was one of the common people, and Clinton was actually black.

Obama worship is not surprising for these people.

“I aint heavy I am your Brother” comes to mind.

Well, in comparison, he probably isn't. Heavy that is.

“Or, as Winfrey recently told Larry King, “My support of him is probably worth more than any check that I could write.”

“Calling her estate a “special, sacred, spiritual” place, Winfrey had warned her guests to be on their best behavior. “To offer it ... is no small thing for me,” she said. “There are going to be some serious restrictions and requirements to get in here.”

Oprah has really gotten too full of herself, and definitely seems to have ‘jumped the shark’ some time back. Has she yet discussed any actual issues in the presidential race, or has she looked beyond the skin color of the candidates?

What about the Gov. from Alaska.

He’s a hoot.

He seems to hit good on some issues and then all of a sudden his personality changes into a nutty crazed persona on other issues.

I find him entertaining to listen to. Like a game show when is the nutty or the level headed personality going to come through.

Does anyone think this could negatively impact Oprah’s mainstream popularity?

Will her audience suddenly realize that ... Oprah’s Black, and ... well, maybe a bit of a racist?

He belongs to the Trinity United Church of Christ -- watch.

"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our Roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent.

We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism.

It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community."

Tenth grade educations are common in Hollywood, where many who find early success quit school as soon as they legally can at age 16.

I don’t get the wealthy’s continued love affair with the anti-business “left”! Leftists always attack “success” whether it’s overall business success or individual people’s success, and yet, too many wealthy people continue to allow themselves to be harmed long-term by the very same people that they so willingly support and vote for politically! Also, when “leftists” end up giving “political favors” towards both certain wealthy businesses and certain wealthy people for both their support and votes, it also ends up making things even worse for the overall world business climate. Both Republicans at every level (including many RINOS; there are some exceptions, of course) and conservatives at every level have a long track record of being very “business friendly” and very “anti-government dependent” towards both businesses and people.
