from my brother in san deigo;
"9 fully armed Fighter jets just Flew Over our house....Just like they did the day before 9/11...
Now 4 of them are circling the area....
Strange..to say the least!"

This close to 9/11? All major cities probably have patrols flying over - the last thing we need is a major incident to happen and all the planes be on the ground.....

Define fully armed. Did they have wing tanks, can he tell the difference between a tank and a MK 82? Were the hardpoints loaded for air-to-air or air to ground? Did the AIM-9’s have an orange warhead, meaning a training simulator......should I go on?

There are training areas off the coast. Aircraft training for air to air combat often have fuel tanks, practice weapons, and pods mounted.
Don't sweat it.
