Actually it's originally from Thailand. I just did a quick google and the one you are speaking of is a brand name of Louisiana hot sauce that I forgot all about until I saw a picture of the bottle. If you like any kind of hot sauce, Tabasco, McIlhenry etc., you'd like Sriracha. It's hotter than most others, but has much more flavor. 28 oz bottle about $4.
