Actually, they can now be found on the Rudy Giuliani threads, supporting RINO Rudy....."because he can win!"
They still have those on FR ? How quaint.
Move to the center? Hell, he must be talking about the ‘center’ of the left, becuase he sure as hell isn’t within a stone’s throw of actual center.
So, those who are pro-2A, against illegal immigration, support law and order, but who are not morally conservative should maybe move to the Democratic Party?
Maybe people like me could move the Democratic Party to the right on most issues.
Let alone a long airline flight.
Well, in the interest of ‘truth in posting’ I voted for the guy. That doesn’t mean I have to accept the B.S. he’s brought to his position. He promised to do better and he hasn’t delivered. The state budget sucks more today than when he took office.
He also torpedoed Bret Schundler, who might have had a chance in New Jersey. And he put Arlen Specter over the top. And he supported that traitor Lincoln Chaffee over a stronger candidate. And the list goes on.
No question, Karl Rove is very smart in some ways, but he has practically zero understanding of social conservatives.
When someone like Arnold talks about the “center” he means pretty much what the New York Times means by “moderate.”
You might call it defining language downward, a regular habit of liberals.
Not enough boldness and too much erring on the side of the RINO Establishment, and to our considerable detriment.
Do what you find to be morally compelling.
If you sleep with a pig long enough, you start to smell and think like one.
schwarzepuker held that special election against his advisors’ and wife’s advice,
lost
big time
and since then
he’s been a “non-partisan”, meaning castrati.
Do you consider environmental legislation agendas based on junk science to be a "moral" issue?
Do you consider welfare spending a "moral" issue?
Do you consider expanding health coverage to any warm body that can cross the state border a "moral" issue?
Do you consider spending billions more than you take in, all the time borrowing more to paper the debt a "moral" issue?
These are the areas where Arnold claims the GOP isn't "centrist" enough.
Environmental legislation based on junk science should be dumped like AB 32 which only does the job of killing hope, growth and opportunity for our state.
Expanding government health care to illegals is a costly boondoggle where we should prioritize our spending on our own native poor.
We should not spend more money than the Gray Davis administration, which Arnold supports.
Welfare spending should not increase, but we should learn how to maximize our investment with what we spend now.
Problem is the liberal and centrist Republican groups do not care if the state economy will go in the toilet due to Arnold’s policies.
Seems alot of freepers here either weren't on this forum back in 2003 to read any Arnold threads or they have suffer from huge memory loss. For monthes, MANY of us here warned the Arniebots over and over that Arnie was a liberal Kennedy clan plant, especially those of us who have lived in states that choose "electable" Arnold-like RINOs who proceeded to govern worse than our RAT politicians ever had. Those who refused to heed those warnings and voted for Arnold anyway have only themselves to blame.
It wouldn't surprise me a bit to come back on FR in 2010 and find a bunch of Rudy supporters here gasping "OMG! President Giuliani just signed a socialized medicine bill worse than anything Slick Willie ever passed!! I never saw it comin'! If only we had known he was a RINO!"
Perhaps on the anniversary of Gray Davis' "recall", we should go through the FR achieves to 2003, repost what all of Arnie's fans predicted about his reign, repost what all his detractors said about his reign, and see who came closest. For a quick stroll down memory lane, here are some fine posts from freeper PrimeChoice back in 2003, explaining EXACTLY what kind of Governor Arnold would be:
LOL. Classic!
A walk down memory lane!
Rove is a smart guy but after the 2006 backlash against the GOP I think alot of freepers now realize he's not the all-knowing wizard they made him out to be. Backing a inept RINO monkey boy over a distinguished impeachment manager is always a poor judgment call, just imagine what would have happened if that had occurred in South Carolina and their new Rudybot junior Senator was exposed as a cokehead while in the Seante. ;-) Though personally, I would rank Rove's three biggest blunders as follows:
1) Spending all that time & money to save "electable" incumbent RINOs Linc Chafee/Arlen Specter in their Senate primary, with the laughable premise that if they won their respective primaries, they would make it so easy to "hold" the seat in November and then "owe" Bush big time for the primary.
2) Continuous kamikaze mission to have the Republican Party give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, so big businesses will get cheap labor and be so thankful to the party elites, and all the newly naturalized immigrants who can't even speak English will rush out and pull the "R" lever simply to express their thanks.
3) After the Illinois GOP got a spanking in 2002 for its association with George Ryan, move to install "electable" Judy Baar Topinka as state chairman, because she can "rebuild" the party due to her status as the "only" (never-mind that Fitzgerald fellow) statewide official. After she fails to do so (not to mention wipes out what is left of the Illinois GOP) continue to support her and commit to spending zillions in the primary so she can be nominated for Governor in 2006, due to her magically "electable" powers.
Thank you BillyBoy. Sorry Tommy Thompson quit like that. It’s really hard to git traction unless you’re a Star-Powered Shallow Celebrity in our AMUSEMENT/ENTERTAINMENT industry dominated society driven by Liberal MSM whims!!!
