Maybe the rest of the Arabs have finally gotten tired of Assad Junior. At least temporarily. Besides, since Syria is big buddies with that looney-tune in Iran, I doubt many Arabs care to be too closely associated with Syria.

It's 1) the rude awakening to his alliance to the Islamic Hitler with the hands on nukes.
2) Syria's shielding of Hezbullah's destruction of Lebanon (it's still connected to part one).
