I heard that’s what the police are thinking. Both parents are doctors and most likely sedated their children and left them unattended, which is consistent with their story that they left the children sleeping in the hotel room while they went to dinner. They probably discovered they’d overdosed the little girl when they returned and began contemplating a negligent homicide charge if it came out.
There was a story a few days ago that the kid had been heard crying for her parents on previous nights, if true that could make sedatives more believable - totally wrong but people do strange things. I also wonder if their apt had stairs - maybe she sleepwalked & fell down the stairs ?
