Orlando International Terror Plot?
AM 540 WFLA Radio ^ | 9/10/07 | Bud Hedinger

Posted on 09/10/2007 2:28:48 PM PDT by Mr. Jazzy

"Credible Security Risk" Those are the words of the pilot on Delta Flight 1824 out of OIA, after it pulled back from the gate Friday morning to take off for Atlanta. Nine Middle Eastern passengers, six males and three females, had been denied access to the plane when TSA screeners found they were carrying an array of suspicious items ranging from hydrogen peroxide, which can be used to make bombs, to wires and Vaseline bottles taped together. Perhaps most disturbing, what one TSA worker tells me were the first positive tests for SEMTEX ever reported by security at OIA. SEMTEX is considered the bomb making material of choice by Islamic terrorists. In addition, a couple of them also had improper identification. The suspicious passengers were denied access to the flight, but ultimately...(are you ready for this?)...they were allowed to go on their way after questioning by airport officials and Orlando police!

Looked but did not see that this was already posted.

Scary stuff, positive hits for SEMTEX on four different machines.

Are they under surveilance?

Al Queda has OCD. They are forever sending out squads of terrorists to test defenses and see what they can get away with. The evil CAIR and their Flying Imans lawsuit have an obvious role here.

My impression is that this was one of their test runs.

yeah, but was there a act in furtherance of any conspiracy? I mean just because a policeman finds a loaded gun in the hand of customer in a convenience store in the middle of the night with a fiend outside behind the wheel of a stolen car with the engine running, doesn’t mean the “gentleman” intended to rob the money from the store cash register! Especially if the gentleman was of very dark completion, we all know they need to carry guns to protect them selves against Christian conservatives.

While I am all for bulldozing the Orlando metro area and turning it back into cattle ranches and orange groves, I nevertheless hope that the FBI is following all leads in this case. An explosion at Disney would REALLY make me want to go to Lahore or Tehran myself and do a Slim Pickens.

I've always thought that the ROP would leave Disney alone as so many of their bretheren vacation there. As we have seen in the past, however, this doesn't matter to the truly driven idealougues.

What scares me is - IT”S SEPT. 10!
Terrorists like to blow stuff up on anniversaries. I’d think just based on the date and the explosives residue to lock them up.

I suspect they were allowed to go on, because even though we all KNOW what this is and it’s EXTREMELY suspicious, they didn’t actually break any laws, ergo they can’t deny them passage without inviting another idiotic lawsuit.

Disney is a truly capitlistic enterprise and has quite a well rounded security force to ensure that it does not appear to be a “soft target”, like the enemy wants.

The middle eastern investment in all of central Florida is quite sizeable, but the terrorists could care less for that or the innocent victims the attack.

TSA and security officials observed that two of the Middle Eastern men intended for the flight had smeared Vaseline on their arms and neck areas — a common tactic among hand-to-hand fighters who want the advantage in the event someone tries to grab them or put them in a headlock. Covered by the greasy agent, they are better able to extricate themselves during close-quarters, hand-to-hand fighting.

Possibly, just pushing back the edge of the envelope to see what they could get checked for, or looking to sue. The “Flying Imams” and their behaviors come to mind.

The fact that the hits on SEMTEX on four different machines still needs to be explained. The luggage SHOULD have been confiscated. Give them some Publix grocery bags to carry home!
