Link has both video and text. Video includes the Q & A session afterwards.
This speech is LONG, but if you want to see what seperates Newt from everyone else, this is worth watching. His level of understanding of the terror threat, his historical comparisons, and his vision for winning going forward are inspiring. Absolutely fantastic. Newt NEEDS to be our president.

Thanx for linking to this speech. This one man for whom I will drop what I’m doing in order to listen. He is a wise man.

Buckley concludes his book review this way: Those critics who insist that it is only a small war-party faction of the Islamists that we have to fear might have been asked a generation ago if it was not merely a small number of Germans and Russians we were properly exercised about. Sixty million people were dead after that misreckoning. These are words worth remembering. Those who insist that Islam is really a "religion of peace" that has merely been "hijacked" by "a few extremists"--even if that analysis were correct--should take no comfort in the numbers.

PING)))))) You that have been pinged are on a pro-life ping list. I have pinged this very important speech given by Newt Gingrich on the eve of the 911 date. This speech was quite long, but it is well worth a listen when you get time. We will get hit again by the demonspawn of Islam and when it happens the things Newt covered in this speech must be the issues around which our response coalesces and changes from present approach. Thank you for your patience in giving this long speech a listen as you have time ... the media will not give it notice, typically.

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention. You can see the list of articles I pinged to lately on my page.
You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about). Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card.

"Irreconcilable Wing of Islam"
A lofty effort on Newt's part to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat - but I'm sorry to say that even Newt's inability to name the enemy makes it more all the more obvious that Newt's "alternative history" speech is nothing more than political posturing.
