Even asking this question reveals the black heart of CNN.
Just before noon (Central time), I heard one of CNN’s newsreaders
(Clancy?) use the term
FESTIVITIES
(among other descriptives) to describe today’s 9-11 commemorations.
Either he mis-spoke.
Or just revealed more of the ugliness that is the true soul of CNN.

Could we at least have one day per victim before we begin scaling back?

This is probably from the same crowd that goes into a “Bad America” tirade on every anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing.

I don’t see large scale annual observances now. Maybe in New York and DC.
Why is that a problem for people. I guess CAIR is running this poll.

To answer your question: if you search under the word “annual” (by post time), you will see that there have been a total of four threads posted about this poll, with three of them locked and linked to the first.

At some point these observances WILL be scaled back -- if only for practical reasons.
The dispute this year over whether the families of 9/11 victims would be allowed to have a ceremony at Ground Zero probably didn't help matters at all for those families. Some of those folks have exposed themselves as unrealistic, impractical pains in the @ss over the whole issue.
