Make no mistake about it -- Nebraska is one of the most conservative states in the U.S. Consider the following:
1. Ben Nelson has one of the highest American Conservative Union ratings of any Democrat in the U.S. Senate.
2. Nebraska was one of only three states (Utah and Wyoming being the others) in which George W. Bush won every county in the 2000 election.
3. I believe Nebraska was the only state where Bill Clinton never paid a visit during his two terms in the White House.

ACU ratings are not always accurate(for example, Mel Martinez scored a 100). It’s usually McCain and his buddy Chafee(who isn’t there anymore) and Specter(who wouldn’t be there if not for the RNC)who got in the way of anything conservative.
